One message in global chat and the ones that are high level come to correct the situation very often I might add.īut I agree Hardmode Ark is a whole other game. The entire game and all states of progression within it are thus far more valuable. People with the very high-end level equipment or bases are rare and thus become a special thing to behold instead of commonplace. Also a lot of the whining and moaning is gone from the chat because those people often just get frustrated and leave. ![]() Living long enough to engage with the ultimate lifeforms becomes a much more amazing goal and achievement than it could ever be in non-hardcore mode.īecause many people don't have the emotional maturity to deal with having to start over sometimes, the server populations tend to be on the lower side meaning that you don't get the same sort of clear-cutting thatch huts everywhere vomit that you see on normal servers. More cautious people are less likely to risk themselves in silly griefing or taking many risks at all really and this only becomes more the case as they rise in level. ![]() Your life matters, your life matters a lot and this encourages people to be much more cautious. My thoughts on why hardcore mode gets you the best Ark experience:
